I noticed during the process of creating this that my feelings towards the image (and myself) shifted a bit. At first I didn’t like this picture of me at all – I took this after just waking up and taking the dog out in the cold so I had my hood up – my hair is a bit crazy.. and I usually don’t like pictures of myself. (I’ll spare you all the negative things I thought of myself when looking at this pic). However, as I stitched and looked closely at every inch of my face I found myself loving the image and loving myself more in the process. I’m not sure how to explain it, but it felt kind of magical
